    Why did you took MGX with you if it wasn’t your project??? I never heard that TKT dropped it or disbanded
    There are other works from the same artist and many more manga
    Sorry I’m a bit curious about it

  18. "First one wins all" my ass.

    Look. I don't give a sh*t what you do here, Yuzu. You can do MGX if you like. If TKT drops it, I'll read your version, cuz it'll be the only one. But anyone with a pair of balls and a pinch of loyalty in their blood would stick with TKT. I sure as hell would.

    I don't know what happened between you and them, and I don't care. I still think you're a dick, and no matter how TKT reforms, if it does, and if it continues MGX, I have no doubt that their version will be superior.

    Why? Cuz all you are is a broken part off a bicycle. Not worth fixing, just replacing. Or so I feel. And a Broken Part will rarely be as worthwhile as a functioning machine.

    My 'Net Name is Roy Raphael Thompson, and I'm sticking with TKT.

  19. just so you know all groups in the vast scanlation community that are atleast a bit decent follow only 1 simple rule , which shows them that there could be a little honour among thieves and that is the 45/60 days of not getting a release by another group.
    45 days is for weekly and bi-weekly series and 60 days is for monthly series , i hope your newfound group would learn its rightfull place by atleast following that simple rule

  20. They haven't dropped the ball yet.

  21. Nah, the rumored english ch 57 is kinda tricky to find. But it's still out there. I actually found it through Mangafox's forums.

  22. I'm with Roy here, I would use a kinder version though :|.

    Hope tkt findes another translater ::finger crossing::...

  23. I knew about MGX for a blog post and then Eval Power, then entered TKT. I'll be following you. But Really, I hope tkt finds another translater.

  24. This is Doku^2 Shinsha here. I'm Yuzu's deputy on this blog which he created.

    Yuzu's been hard at work to ensure that you fans are getting what he thinks y'all deserve: he's cleaning raws, translating text, typesetting translation, working with us to apply QC fixes and ensuring distribution so that you can have MGX at your fingertips. And most of you fans are grateful, kindered spirits who can appreciate his work and continuing efforts in this difficult period, so on behalf of Aizome scans, we thank you for your support and kind words.

    Yuzu's NOT going to devote his precious time and energy to answer stupid questions and inflammatory posts. However, as his deputy (who is currently only tasked with QC'ing), I happen to have a bit more time on my hands, so I'm going to take a swing at managing some of the more troublesome comments we've all been seeing.

    Let's get to it, shall we?

    *rubs hands together*

    @Leo (July 29, 2011, 11:01 PM)
    I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you're not trolling for flame's sake. I'm not going to answer your question because the very core of the question is incorrect: namely, it is based on on three incorrect suppositions. Once you correct those suppositions, then you'll understand that the answer you seek is self-evident.

    @Roy (July 30, 2011, 4:37 PM)
    Methinks the good sir doth troll too much. Wow, there is so much in your comment that is wrong, out-right wrong, that I really don't know where to begin. But now that I read it again, I realize that it's all just vitriol without much substance, so there really isn't anything for me to address, honestly. So, yeah. Take some meds, calm down, and go do something productive with that rage. Like go back to TkTranslate and show your support by volunteering to translate for them, or QC their work, or source their raws, or 'shop their work... or anything else you think you can do. 'Cause coming over here just to rant and rave is tad bit childish and it doesn't help anyone. It surely doesn't help TkTranslate. Just a thought. Peace out.

    @Loki (July 30, 2011, 5:14 PM)
    Oh, good sir, you make me laugh: "Honor among thieves"? (Hahaha!) "rightfull [sic] place"? (Ha!). Your statement is also based on at least two incorrect suppositions. Once you address those issues, then you'll find that your notions are, well, a bit silly (sorry to say, but true). You seem like a decent guy - I hope you figure out what those things are so that you can have a little less finger-pointing blame-worthiness in your communications with we, who would be your suppliers. Consider that for a moment.

    @MAB (July 31, 2011, 8:40 AM)
    Thank you, actually! You've hit on a most important point, that no one else has seen.

    And, for everyone who hasn't figured it out, let me explain it:

    #1) Yuzu did not betray TkTranslate.
    #2) Yuzu did not steal from TkTranslate.
    #3) Yuzu's decision did not "destroy" TkTranslate.

    Here's logical proof (that is, if you believe in logic. Otherwise, if you're just full of anger and vitriol, then you'd best go someplace else lest I offend your sensibilities, or lack thereof):

    #1) Yuzu and Kak had a working relationship based on one core tenant: If both parties could do what the other party needed, then they could work together. Both parties had to deliver and make good on their promises. But when one side failed to deliver over and over again, the relationship fell apart. There were trust issues which were violated. So instead of sticking around in a degrading relationship that only incited more rage and conflict (no matter how hard you try, you can't change another person if they don't want to change themselves) Yuzu did the smart thing and left.

    #2) I hope everyone here realizes that TkTranslate DOES NOT OWN the MGX manga: they don't own the dialogue, the artwork, characters, the story and plot development -- nada. Those rights belongs to the artist and the Japanese publishing company. As scanlators, we all knowingly violate THEIR international intellectual property laws by modifying and distributing their work without their consent. And as readers, you are ALSO GUIILTY of consuming said work without rendering compensation to them for a commercially licensed work.

    As a translator, Yuzu created English translations and transcriptions that from the original raw Japanese. When he offered his services to TkTranslate, that scanlation group used HIS work to produce THEIR scanlations: they cleaned the raws, typesetted his text, compiled archives which were branded with TkTranslate's logo and distributed under their banner. If we're talking about ownership of derivative works of intellectual property, then TkTranslate owns the SCANLATIONS they produced, but Yuzu owns the TRANSLATIONS he created.

    Now that Yuzu has left TkTranslate, both his translation services and the scripts HE CREATED follow him. Think of it like working a clerical job in Office A, where you are paid to type things, make copies of said things, and fax-submit them to another place for further processing. If you quit Office A and get hired in Office B, those skill sets follow you: Office A can't prohibit you from typing things, copying things or faxing things for Office B because you OWN those skills. Office A can accuse you of theft all they want, but that would just be silly. This would be even more silly if Office A went belly-up and pinned the blame on you for quitting your job with them and going to Office B.

    ...which brings me to the last point:

    #3) In order for Yuzu to have "destroyed" TkTranslate, he would have to have: (1) stolen all TkTranslate's work and branded it as his own; (2) prohibited TkTranslate's function as a scanlation production group; and (3) removed the individual ability of each of the members from working together.
    I can only shake my head in disappointment at the amount of bellyaching from people about this. TkTranslate is free to continue producing and distributing scanlations of manga -- if it wants to. Here's a few logical reasons why the world isn't ending for them:

    1. They could recruit a new translator. Yuzu is one in at least 500 million people in North America -- so even if he was a "one in a million translator," that makes for at least 500x other capable and competent Japanese-English translators in North America.

    2. They could continue to work on MGX once they've found a new translator. We're not stopping them from doing so; we have no right to.

    3. They could work on other projects as well! Think of all the series that are out there, waiting to make the (illegal) transition from Japanese to English. And, with TokyoPop going out of business, there are a bunch more titles whose audiences need feeding. Seriously.

    Welp, enough of this. I'm sure this won't placate everyone, but I can't really explain myself any more clearly.

    Time to get some work done. MGX Ch.57 is on its way.

  29. why would i bother trying to solve your mistery , when you disregarded my point and tried to force your opinion as mine but with upgrades

    that said i would speak no more of things as decency here , cuz its obvious this group lacks that completly

    ps. do not update baka updates for releases that you havent actually done

  30. i almost thought you steal tk's projects, but surprisingly, you're the yuzuyaro himself XD mmm...

  31. @Loki (July 31, 2011, 9:01 PM)

    Let's look at your initial post together:

    >just so you know all groups in the vast
    >scanlation community that are atleast a
    >bit decent follow only 1 simple rule ,
    >which shows them that there could be a
    >little honour among thieves and that is
    >the 45/60 days of not getting a release by
    >another group.
    >45 days is for weekly and bi-weekly series
    >and 60 days is for monthly series , i hope
    >your newfound group would learn its
    >rightfull place by atleast following that
    >simple rule

    Okay, what does this even mean? I'm not being a dick here - I'm serious. This sentence isn't even complete. Ignoring the first false supposition (that there are rules to these types of things), what's the rule you're talking about? "45/60 days of not getting a release by another group" -- what the hell does that even MEAN? Your sentence isn't even a sentence. Where's the verb? What's the subject? What's the point you are trying to make? I'm having trouble parsing this as it's currently written.

    Moreover, what's the purpose of a comment like this? Is it supposed to be a warning about creating our own group? Or is it a chastisement for Yuzu for doing the smart thing and leaving TkTranslate when it was apparent that things hadn't been working out for 6+ months? (that's the second incorrect supposition -- that Yuzu is the one at fault). Or is it that Yuzu should has to wait a 45/60 day "grace" period before he can be allowed to work on a project? How does that even work? We purchase and own manga in the ORIGINAL JAPANESE. We PAY for it with our own money. Are we not supposed to read it on our own time? Are we supposed to quake in fear that we might offend other translation groups if we decide to scanlate it? What a load of malarky.

    I've read the inflammatory words that others have posted on the TkTranslate blog -- full of hate, accusation and anger against Yuzu. But that's TkTranslate's playground; I can't moderate that and I don't want to be responsible for that.

    C'mon, be serious here -- when you come onto OUR blog, post inflammatory comments and accusations and then expect a genuine response? I'm going to err on the side of caution and assume that you wouldn't appreciate it if people treated YOU that way, so I gotta ask -- why do you think you have the right to do that other people? On their own turf/blog? How does that even compute?
